So when you go to Mozilla Firefox website and click on “ Download Now” button to download its setup installer, it downloads a very small (few KB size) installer. When you run the installer, it requires Internet connection to download the full setup installer of Firefox from Mozilla servers. The online installer extracts the “ Setup-stub.exe” file in a temporary folder on your computer which then downloads the full setup files of Firefox and then installs the browser in your computer. Now imagine a situation when you need to install Mozilla Firefox in many computers, you’ll need to run the online installer in every computer and then it’ll download the required setup files from Internet in all computers.
